If you smell gas
Leave the building now. Do not use light switches or phones inside.
From a safe place, call your gas supplier or 911.
Common problems
- The system runs, but the air is cold.
- The heat does not turn on.
- The system turns on and off often.
- Some rooms stay cold.
- The system makes a new or loud noise.
Safe checks before you call
- Set the thermostat to Heat. Set it above the room temperature.
- If the thermostat display is blank, replace its batteries.
- Look at the air filter. Replace it if it is dirty.
- Check the breaker for the system. If it trips again, do not reset it again. Call the office.

- A technician checks the system and finds the cause.
